The big topic of conversation continues to be the upcoming private sector reforms and Governments continued focus on our sector and ensuring everyone is paying the correct taxes.  So in this month’s newsletter we continue to separate the myths from the facts with our latest mythbuster instalment regarding what happens if a client deliberately misleads an agency on the IR35 status.

We also look at the topic of Regulation 80 determinations and what this means for agencies, along with the latest developments regarding the valuable VAT concession exempting employment agencies from charging VAT for supplying certain nursing and nursing auxiliary staff to an end user.

For many years PayStream have been warning agencies of using non-compliant providers and have been advising that PSLs and ASLs should be a “must have”, rather than a “nice to have”.  Gone are the days when agencies could turn a blind eye to non-compliant providers, so this month’s newsletter also reminds you why we are one of the market leading accountancy and payroll providers, along with why you can count on us during these challenging times.

The consultation on “off-payroll working rules from April 2020” was published on 5th March 2019. The proposals are broadly similar to the public sector, however there are some key developments which will apply equally to public sector engagements from April 2020.
