1. Tell us a little bit about yourself and what brought you to PayStream?
Before joining PayStream I worked as a Sales Manager for around 15 years. I was looking for a change of pace and whilst on the lookout I took a 3-month temporary role working in the Onboarding department at PayStream. As the 3 months were coming to an end, there was an open position in the Agency Support team as a permanent employee, so I decided to apply and luckily I got the job!
2. What is a typical day at PayStream like?
I’m currently working a hybrid role whereby I look after my own patch of agencies for half of the day and the other half I work in the Agency Support team. As a result of this, every day is busy, however it is varied and very rewarding.
3. How does PayStream compare to your previous workplaces?
There is a gulf between PayStream and my previous workplaces. I work normal hours in a company with a great culture and most of all I don’t get disturbed by work, outside of work hours. I feel like I have a great work life balance for the first time in a long time.
4. What three words would you use to describe PayStream?
Friendly, supportive, rewarding.
5. What do you enjoy most about working at PayStream?
I know it’s cliché however it really is the people. Not just from a fun and friendly perspective but the support you get on a daily basis is like nowhere I have worked before.
6. What would people be surprised to learn about you?
I have my own allotment where I grow organic vegetables and my favourite holiday destination is Croatia. I’ve been for the last 8 years, and it’s now a running joke in the office! (Those that know, know!)
7. What are your favourite things to do outside of work?
I play snooker in a local league. I’m nowhere near professional, however I did get a 54 break in the league last season (3rd highest break by anyone that season). As mentioned above, I have the allotment and I am also a life long Manchester City fan.
